The awarding ceremony for Athens Photo Inspiration 10 winners took place on Tuesday, July 13th, at the welcoming venue of Bacaro. Winners, members of the judging committee, Hellenic Centre for Photography representatives, and representatives of Nestea, sponsor of the event for the third consecutive year, were present during the event.
Nestea offered winners Canon digital cameras, educational photography seminars and other commemorative photography gifts. Nestea Senior Brand Manager, Georgia Askitopoulou, and committee members Yannis Behrakis (Chief Photographer of Reuters) and Periclis Hoursoglou (Film Director) handed the prizes.
Everyone present had the opportunity to share their experience regarding participation in the third Athens Photo Inspiration, share views, and renew their appointment for the exhibition that will be held in November, hosting the best photographic "inspirations", organized within the framework of Athens Photo Festival 10 and supported by Nestea.


More than 10000 visitors of www.athensphotoinspiration.gr participated in the online voting that took place from June 14th to June 23rd, and selected the best three photographic inspirations. Athens Photo Inspiration 10 took place on Sunday 6 June 2010 with great success and unprecedented participation. About 700 friends of photography, starting from the centre of Athens and using photography as a common language, had the opportunity to communicate and to express themselves, by recording through their own lens and within six hours, four given combinations of themes, inspired by the contemporary face of the city.


Registration for the workshop «Inspiring Shooting Tips» is now closed, as the maximum number of participants has been overreached. Due to the great interest, the wοrkshop will be repeated on Sunday, May 30th. Only a limited number of participations will be offered, in priority order, to those on the waiting list, if additional space has been made available due to a cancellation. All those on the waiting list shall be directly informed with a phone call or email by the organizer, until Wednesday, May 26th.
