Athens Photo Inspiration took place with spectacular success on Sunday, November 2nd 2008 within the framework of the Athens Photo Festival 08 with the support of Nestea and the participation of 300 aficionados of the photographic medium from all over Greece.

The participants recorded through their own lenses a series of subjects, inspired by the city’s everyday life. The jury consisted of three distinguished professionals from the wider field of photography and cinema evaluated and pre-selected the best photographs. Subsequently, photographs were placed before the public, so that the public could vote on-line for the best two photographic "inspirations". Furthermore, the judges’ panel evaluated the photographs and decided on the special prize, based on criteria that concern: a) how well the image falls within its theme group; b) its artistic style and c) the technical dexterity it displays.
The special prize by the panel was awarded to Eleni Karakitsou.

More than 3.000 visitors participated in this innovative competition, through the on-line voting that took place from November 10 to November 24, and decided on the best two photographic "inspirations".
The audience prizes went to:   

1st Prize: Panagiotis Panagopoulos with 298 votes. 

2nd Prize: Katerina Krikoni with 240 votes.
