Athens Photo Inspiration 09 was organized by the Hellenic Centre for Photography for a second consecutive year in June, with the sponsorship of Nestea. The event constituted an open platform dedicated to the art. It had a competitive character, whose main goal was to support individual and collective artistic expression through photography.

About 500 friends of photography from all over Greece, had the opportunity to participate in the most enjoying photography «marathon» in the centre of Athens, to communicate and to express themselves, by recording through their own lens and within six hours, three thematic units inspired by yesterday, today and tomorrow of this city.

Peak of this year’s events is the Athens Photo Inspiration 09 Exhibition, with the presentation of the participations that distinguished. It concerns the 18 award-winning photos which were awarded by the audience and the committee, along with the projection of the 192 photos which were chosen during the first phase of the competition.

The exhibition is hosted in the Esplanada Building, in Faliron Olympic Pole, as a part of Athens Photo Festival 09, and will be open at the audience until December the 6th.
