The Athens Photo Inspiration 09 Exhibition is opening on Friday, November the 6th as a part of Athens Photo Festival 09. This exhibition presents the 18 award-winning photos which were awarded by the audience and the committee, along with the projection of the 192 photos which were chosen during the first phase of the competition. photos which were chosen during the first phase of the competition. The Athens Photo Inspiration 09 Exhibition is hosted in the Esplanada Building, in Faliron Olympic Pole, as a part of Athens Photo Festival 09 , and will be open at the audience until December the 6th.



Prizes' awarding to the Athens Photo Inspiration 09 winners took place on Wednesday 15 July, in a pleasant atmosphere, at the welcoming place of Benaki Museum at Pireos street. Present were the winners, members of judging committee, representatives of the Hellenic Centre for Photography, and representatives of Nestea, sponsor of the event for the second consecutive year.
Nestea offered winners Olympus digital cameras, educational photography seminars and other commemorative photography gifts. Prizes were awarded by Sofia Kilifi, Nestea media Relations & Brand PR Manager, and committee members Dimitris Arvanitis and Yiannis Kolesidis.
All present had the opportunity to share their experience from participating in the second Athens Photo Inspiration, to share their views, and to renew their appointment for the special exhibition that will be held in November, hosting the best photographic "inspirations", organised within the framework of Athens Photo Festival 09 and supported by Nestea.

More than 6000 visitors of www.athensphotoinspiration.gr participated in the on-line voting that took place from 22 June to 3 July, and selected the best three photographic inspirations. At the same time, the judges’ committee decided on the best individual and the best group participation. Winners will be soon notified for the awarding ceremony date. To see the winners, click here.

Athens Photo Inspiration 09 took place on Sunday 14 June 2009 with great success and a wide participation. About 500 friends of photography from all over Greece, had the opportunity to participate in the most enjoyable photography "marathon" in the centre of Athens, to communicate and to express themselves, by recording through their own lens and within six hours, a series of three given themes inspired by the city’s everyday life.
